The Florida Lyric Opera's vision is to be a company that presents repertoire in several genres including opera, musical theatre, plays, revues, and multicultural topics.  This company will give opportunities to young, upcoming talent as well as more experienced professionals.  The talent will work with only the finest directors and conductors in order to present the highest level productions.  The mission of The Florida Lyric Opera is to produce theatre that works successfully in a smaller performing space.  We want to focus on smaller works that may not need such a huge budget, and build them into high-caliber productions.  We want to explore new repertoire and give older repertoire a new twist.  At the same time, we want to give opportunities to both seasoned actors and emerging artists with the majority of these coming from the local area.
